In 2005 to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Birth of Bob Marley, the Royal Mint on behalf of Jamaica released a very Limited Issue Bob Marley $50 Fifty Dollar Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver with selective .958 Gold plating.
The reverse designed by Robert Elderton depicts Bob Marley while the obverse has the Coat of Arms of Jamaica.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
