Now why would a gorgeous woman’s Watch be named for a man, and a mathematician at that? Well, here’s why.
Zeno of Elea was known as the father of dialectic, the founding principle of logic. In other words, nobody could understand him. But they sure knew about his favorite paradoxes. The first proposed that there cannot be more than one thing, or they would immediately become ‘things’, plural. We warned you.
A paradox illustrates 2 different approaches. We can say that the hour hand of a beautiful watch sweeps around the dial. Or we could say instead that the hand is stationary, and the watch face moves around it. But therein lies madness.
For now, let’s just appreciate the simple beauty of ZENO – 731. We don’t have to analyze this fine timepiece to know that its appeal is classic.
